A good friend of my sisters has just opened his second restaurant here in Ashburn, Main Street Wings and Grill. They have about 20 flavors of wings, homemade soups, salads, pizzas, and many sandwiches and burgers. Their wings are larger than most other restaurants too. If you're looking for a place to take the kids for lunch or dinner, it's good for that too, especially during the week. Kids eat free on Tuesdays.
They have dinner and happy hour specials all week long too.

Check out their menu on their website: http://www.mainstreetwings.com/menu.htm

They are located in the Ashbrook Commons Shopping Center (where AC Moore, and Harris Teeter are) on Ashburn Village Road right before you hit Route 7.
    Address:
    20020 Ashbrook Commons Plaza
    PH: 571.209.9800

One of their dessert options is "bake at your table s'mores." Yum!

The website doesn't say if they offer the NFL Sunday Ticket but if they did it seems like a good place to watch a game.

I've been looking for some good wings in Ashburn, will definitely try this place out. Buffalo Wing Factory's wings are ok, but I've had better, so I hope this place can beat them.

We had Main Street Wings delivered today for lunch. Fabulous food! I had pulled pork BBQ, topped with slaw, on a hefty Kaiser roll. Ordered with chips and they were very crispy Kettle chips, not generic. I don't care much for french fries, but had I realized they have sweet potato fries, I would have gotten those. Co-workers had various things and pronounced them very good: MD crab soup, chicken fingers, grilled chicken breast. The California sandwich looked especially appealing and that's what I'll try next.

Some people had also eaten at their P'ville restaurant and said the food is consistently very good. They deliver within a 3-mile radius and if you work at a school, as I do, this is very important!

Highly suggest you give it a try; I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Our family ate there tonight and we give it a thumbs up. The restaurant was packed and the approx. 15 seat bar was full, too. The child had pizza, which came with a side (she chose cinnamon apples) and a desert (cookie). The adults had the bone-in chicken wings, one with garlic teriyaki sauce and the other medium hot. Both were good. Hubby thought the wings could have been hotter but they were plenty hot for me! With all the sauce choices there I guess the fun is in finding the one that is your favorite.

The alcohol was delivered today and the place was hopping! The food took a little while to come out but it was understandable since they were new and the place was very busy.

We went for lunch the other day. Everything was great. I had the sampler for a meal. 4 wings (honey BBQ) 2 chicken tenders, 2 potato skins (sour cream under the cheese and bacon) and 2 mozzarella sticks. I also tried the raspberry chipolte sauce and it was AWESOME!!!! Ohh...and the macaroni and cheese was great as well!!!!

    Will definitely go back.

We went there last night. The onion rings were very good. I tried the wings, Honey BBQ. They were overcooked (visibly). Too much bbq sauce also on them. They rank #3 on my local wings list, with Famous Daves being 1st by a lot and Ruby Tuesday's Sam Adams wings being 2nd (might have been seasonal, not sure if they have them anymore). Kids had pizza and we're pretty certain it was a Red Baron personal pizza and wasn't cooked all the way. Wife had the beer battered chicken, thought it had way too much batter. I'm sure we'll give it another try.

We went there for dinner tonight - had the fried pickles (so good!), dinner sampler (Medium Buffalo sauce) and the crab wings - liked it all - will surely go back again!

Went in tonight and the Garlic Teriyaki wings are AMAZING! Talk about finger licking good! My sister had the Kickin' Crab wings and said they were delicious too. The Sweetang Chicken salad was really good too - great sauce on the chicken that makes a yummy dressing.

I didn't know Famous Dave's has wings - I'll have to try them there sometime. Most of their food is hard to beat anywhere else.

When we went to MSW on Friday night I was surprised at how busy they were. The word got out somehow. If the night you were there was a full restaurant with people waiting then I'm not surprised your food was a bit off. I bet we all surprised the restaurant by showing up right away. We Ashburn folks don't wait around to try a new place! I hope they get in the swing of things soon because they have some great potential around here.

We ate there today and we loved it. We had 3 different types of the bone in wings, the thai peanut, spicy ranch, and the honey mustard. We really liked all of the flavors and we are looking forward to trying more. I thought the wings were a great size and cooked perfectly. They were just a little crispy and that is how we like them! We also had the cream of crab soup which was awesome. The staff was really friendly and kept asking how our food was. Also they had beer on tap and football was on a their bar. We will be going back soon! I saw a special for Monday, which is $5 per pound of bone in wings. I would suggest trying this restaurant if you like wings!

My wife and I went here tonight. It was okay. I think they're still working out lots of kinks. We ordered wings (Buffalo Hot - my god, I must be getting wimpy because these blew my doors off in a good way -- HOT HOT HOT), tenders, a gyro salad, and fries. Well, everything was really good, except for the fries. They never actually made it to our table. I reminded the server about the fries the time he came over to check and see how we were doing. He replied that they were almost ready. Toward the end of our meal he asked if I wanted a refill on my drink, at which I told him that he could forget the fries as we were done with the meal. There's no sense in getting them at this point.

A short time later our server returned and mentioned that he "removed the fries from our bill." Hmmm... okay... I said to my wife, "Why did he add them in the first place?"

A few minutes later the owner came over to understand what happened with the fries. He asked us the whole story of what happened. He mentioned that the server told him that we ordered fries halfway through our meal then at the last minute we changed our minds. The owner seemed nice enough, but the conversation was a little odd as I don't think either of us -- my wife and I -- thought there was any incident at all with the fries. Also he was complaining about the kitchen getting orders wrong and how he was going to dock their pay. Yeah, that was a little weird, although I understand he's actively soliciting feedback so he better knows how to deal with his staff and the overall operation of the restaurant.

We'll definitely be back. I hope though that they'll work out what they need to so they can be a mainstay in the area. The food was definitely worth the price.

Out of wine? Aren't they just a few doors down from a grocery store?

I ate here a couple of weeks ago. I didn't know what to expect based on the mixed reviews posted here but it was all good. Good service and good wings - no complaints. We'll be back.

We've eaten there a total of three times now. The service was good all three times. Two of the times were on a Friday night and the place was packed. One time was a weeknight and it wasn't as busy; that night the food came out pretty quickly. The busy nights the food was slow to come out but one of those nights we were given (without asking) a discount because of it.

Twice I've ordered the sweet potato fries and both times they were only warm, not hot. I think they'll have to work on that but otherwise we've been happy with it. One time I ordered a flavor of wings and wasn't all that impressed but I think that may be due to me just not liking the flavor and not that it was the restaurant's fault. With so many flavors to choose from, I'm probably not going to like them all.

To be honest, we haven't eaten any entrees BUT wings there (except for the kids PB&J sandwich) so I can't comment on the quality of the other entrees. I wasn't impressed with the appetizer cheese fries because they were regular McDonalds style fries with liquid cheese on them - I expected more of a steak fries with shredded cheese. Now I know.

We'll be back, especially since they just added the NFL Sunday Ticket.

We decided to give it a try tonight, and I must say that they are not bad. There are some kinks to work out still but I think that after a few more months of business, it’ll be just fine. With the rainy day, we just wanted to get our food to go, so we placed a carry-out order. My husband ordered the sampler for a meal, and when we got home we discovered that it was missing a few items with a few items added that weren’t even supposed to be in the platter. We both had the cream of crab soup, which was left out of the bag when my husband picked it up, but they quickly and kindly retrieved them from the kitchen once it was spotted that they weren‘t included. The soup was cold but absolutely delicious once heated up, and I had mild buffalo wings - very good! We ordered grilled chicken tenders for our child, and it came with a very tasty, however, too spicy for a child (in our opinion) sauce. All in all, we’ll be going back and dining in next time. I think for what it’s worth, they were a good place. I’d recommend someone trying them out if they like wings… if you order out - check your order before leaving.

I had to register here to post a comment. I am the owner of the company....Warm beer? Are you kidding me? Was it draft or bottle? Was is the glass? In either event, UNACCEPTABLE. As to the cold soup, we're having this issue and have remedied it---I think it was a combination of not keeping a ton of it hot-ready (creates spoilage) and someone not testing the temperature upon reheat before serving. In either event, we're working on it, and I too feel that cold soup is unacceptable. And concerning being out of every wine, this is an embarrassment to me because my distributor went on vacation and did not bother to tell anyone. And it's an ABC violation to purchase wine for commercial consumption from anyone other than an authorized distributor. This even means I could not take wine from my Purcellville store to sell in Ashburn. So I just had to take it for the three days until he decided to come back in town. At any rate, sounds like the experience was not good for you, so I definitely apologize, but thank you for the feedback; it ensures that it won't happen to any future guests.
