    Has anyone seen the movie 42? I am trying to decide how age appropriate it is for kids under 13. I have read many of the online parent site reviews. I was hoping to hear from someone first hand. Thanks!

    we saw it, and it's pretty heavy subject matter for a kid. it's a movie that's about racism as much as it is about baseball and the courageousness of Jackie Robinson. depends on how ready you are to answer questions about why white people treated black people that way. we were having those conversations in our house since my son was 7 or 8.

    it was a wonderful movie though, well done, funny, emotional.
