I am hoping to find a park with a swingset that my daughter (14 months) can use - the kind that babies/toddlers can sit inside. No such luck as of yet. Any idea of a good place?

    Thanks!

summerbrooke is the pool off Demott, the part between waxpool and broadlands blvd. Also, the park at the end of Partlow Rd off Ashburn Rd has two swing sets and both have those types, so usually at least one available for use
as she grows, you'll love that you have all these choices, best part of ashburn, well suited for all the kids of all ages!

If you want to get out of Broadlands but still remain nearby (obviously not walking distance) there is a WONDERFUL park off Ashburn Road/Partlow Road called Dinasour Park. It has several toddler swings, a lot of age appropriate playstations and shade! We go every Sunday morning and it is a beautiful gem in our community. If you go down Ashburn Road turn onto Partlow road and go to the end. Very close to the old Patrlows/now BBQ place. Hope you go and enjoy it.

Also outside of Broadlands but worth the trip is Trailside Park. Great place for toddlers with swings and other play areas. It's off Claiborne just past Stone Bridge High School, only a few minutes from Broadlands.

This link has some info and photos of the park

I took these photos about a year ago I think. They were part of a plan to make a page on our website for 'things for kids to do locally'. Just have not had time to work on it (any volunteers? :)

Both of these parks have places for a picnic to sit and eat. The Dino Park has a lot more cover however, the trailside park doesn't have much for shade.

This is probably the right spot to raise the need for a new playground, as VM committed to, by the Nature Center.

The legacy Highview Trail playground is clearly dead.... but we do need a nice big playground.........

HOA Members - is it worth my time to attend the meeting on the 8th and raise this issue?
