Does anyone have an issue with neighbors shooting fireworks? Especially when the venture/explode over your property? We have this same concern especially since it has been so dry outside.

We have neighbors who do it every 4th of July. One year it was extremely dry and a lot blew over our house. I just want them to clean up the crap in our yard after they're done.

The reality is, it's illegal in VA to use any fireworks that shoot into the air, but the cops just don't enforce it unfortunately. It's why you have to go across state lines to buy them.

I have seen the LCSO enforce it and confiscate fireworks at the end of our cul-de-sac. I think on the 4th of July there are just too many neighborhood parties going on and LCSO is spread too thin / can't find and stop them all. Have you seen law enforcement in the presence of these fireworks and NOT enforce it? Given limited resources, I think their time is probably better spent finding and stopping drunk drivers on big holidays like that to save lives, but if they see illegal fireworks I don't think they'll turn a blind eye to it.
