Today was the grand opening of Moley Brothers Q-Pit in Leesburg near the corner of S. King St. and Catoctin Circle (in the same little strip center as Andy's Pizza and Subs).

The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was fun, and the aroma of the BBQ pit made the place smell right for a BBQ restaurant. The quality of the food was pretty good... decent meats and tasty sides. Their sauce was also very delicious and complemented the meats quite nicely. Their stuff wasn't as scrumptious as what comes out of any of my backyard smokers, but it was good enough to justify a return trip at a later date.

It's interesting to note that one of the partners in this establishment is Del Walters, who is easily recognized as a longtime local newsman. I talked briefly to Del, and he explained that his weekend hobby has evolved into a business. He was a nice enough guy, and as he worked the room he made sure that everyone got top-notch service.

Moley Brothers Q-Pit has some attractive grand opening specials going right now, so check 'em out!
