New bus service to Tysons Corner

I wasn't sure where that was until I looked at the bus route map. Isn't that next to Stop 12?

 

yes, that's right. But, stop# 12 is on the other side (Tyson's mall), not on Marriot/crescent manor side....

it is not too far... but its difficult to walk during winter when its very cold.

 

If anyone hasn't taken the bus in a few days, note the schedule has changed for the holidays. The project supervisor came out this morning to talk to everyone at the stops and hand out the new schedule for those that didn't know about it yet.

The new schedule is in effect until Jan 7th. The biggest change is that the afternoon bus will not pick up at stops 11-13 (Tysons Corner Center) in the afternoon due to holiday traffic at the mall. Pickup times for the stops has changed accordingly. One permanent change as well, both Tysons Blvd stops (1600 Tysons Blvd & The Ritz) are being moved to the Metro Bus Stop on the service tunnel street 'Galleria at Tysons I'.

Thanks for the info! I've been toying with this idea for a while. It will definitely take longer on average as I have to get on the Tyson's shuttle, but the cost argument is a good one. I was ready to try it and then saw the folks huddled against the cold out front of HT and had second thoughts. ;-)
