Finally got the letter about AM or PM kindergarten! So we are new to the area and have a 3rd grader and kindergartener. I see that orientation is Friday. Can I bring the 3rd grader with me to K orientation and vice versa?
Also, everything I see that talks about K snacks makes it sound as though you have to buy snack. Are we able to send a snack from home?
    Thanks!

Which school? Our K-gartner went to Hillside last year, and we always sent snack. Never purchased snack from school. Dont exactly remember about orientation... I think siblings are ok, but if you ask the school they tell you that they prefer you dont take them. Best is to send an email to the class teacher. You can get their email address from the school website.

The Hillside orientation is more of a meet and greet and a time to drop off school supplies. I have always brought the siblings since it is basically a time for the kids to see the class and teacher.

The actual back to school nights are in September. They ask that you do not bring children to that. That is the time when the teacher will tell you about the special schedules, what they will be learning, and when you can ask more questions.

In the past you could send in your own snack at Hillside. They like it to be on the healthy side and a snack not a meal since they don't have a lot of time to eat. I think you can also just buy a drink for them too which is either milk or bottled water.

Thanks for your replys. I'll definitely get a babysitter for the back to school night, but I'll just go ahead and bring them both to orientation.
