We upgraded to Office 2010 and Outlook is not cooperating. It appears to be "synchronizing" with OB Mail rather than simply POPping the mail. Here's an example:
    1) Read all the e-mail on my Outlook client
    2) Go to the OB Mail Web Client and delete the read mail there
    3) All those messages are now gone from my Outlook client

I've been through all the settings and cannot find how to make the mail simply POP down.

    Help?

is it configured for pop or imap?

normally it would be removed from your webmail once outlook connected if it were truely pop.. unless you have outlook configured to also leave mail on the server for a fixed # of days.

this link also kind of makes it sound like intentional behavior

Here's another bit that may make it sound like the mail is there, but maybe not viewable? See this guys problem with a view hiding mail

I'm wondering if you let the auto config do it's thing and its set to imap instead of pop... but I assume you've already looked at that setting in the email account setup
