Part Time / From Home Office Assistant

    I am partners in a small rental property management business and looking for a part time secretary / administrative assistant to handle some of the paperwork (for example notices to tenants, managing utilities - making sure they are on and transferred to us when units go vacant, managing rent payments are applied properly, designing some excel spreadsheets to track amounts due from tenants better, etc.).

    There are currently 17 properties managed, it's not hundreds or anything large. The job is part time, the hours are generally flexible unless something is urgent (i.e. unit empty, tenant past due, etc.). There's no local office for this project, so I need someone who can dedicate a small amount of space at home to this.

    There will be some scanning involved (prefer you have scanner, however providing scanning isn't a problem) - All documents are kept as scanned images. These documents will need scanning, named, and some properties on the file set so they can be found in the future.

    Some of the scanning may involve additional businesses I'm involved in, so looking for someone flexible.

    Must be proficient at Word, Excel, using a scanner. Experience writing custom letters based on situation desired (i.e. if a tenant isn't taking care of property sufficiently clean then we'd like to give you a list of problems and you draft a letter for approval, instead of trying to dictate something to you). Experience in real estate not necessary, but would be helpful.
