Just wanted to recommend JCT Plumbing who just completed installing 3 new toilets in our SW SFH.

Carlos did a great job! He was on time, knowledgeable, did great work, and has fair prices.

Would highly recommend him to others and would call him again for any plumbing work. All he does is plumbing so that was a selling point for me for my plumbing issues. I didn't need a handyman, just a plumber.

I would like to give another recommendation for JCT Plumbing. Carlos came out and changed our expansion tank that was rusting through on Friday. Our condensation pipe was also backing up on the first floor of our townhouse and he advised us on that as well. He also said our hot water heater is getting old and that we should check on it from time to time to make sure that it doesn't start leaking soon as well. Honest and fair, great guy! We won't use anyone else from now on. He is also an Ashburn resident.

Two thumbs up for Carlos at JCT Plumbing. He came out and repaired two toilets on a Sunday and did not charge extra weekend rates. As the others said, very reasonable prices (others were charging twice as much). Nice guy. He's my new plumber. Thanks for the recommendation T-Bone.

Based on the recommendations, I am giving JCT Plumbing a shot. I will report back.

*My son threw a toy car in his toilet and now it's plugged.

Thank you very much for this recommendation. Carlos was indeed a very pleasant and nice person and his rates were reasonable. He was great. I will definitely call on him for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Would he be the one to call to install a new kitchen faucet?

Did you get your kitchen faucet installed? Did you use JCT? Mind if I ask how much? I need to have one installed as well, might do it myself as the quote I got from my usual plumber was more than I expected.

We didn't go with JCT. He wanted $295 for the kitchen faucet and $195 for the bathroom faucet.

Nope. I had both faucets already. Unfortunately, all the plumbers I contacted were expensive. Kind of sad, but there was no way I could do it myself.

Perhaps someone here can help... I hear you can get many local volunteers for a six-pack or two!

Our normal plumber wanted $529 installed for a faucet that lists for about $400, but is on Amazon for about $230. If we got our own faucet, they charged hourly rates and estimated about $200-$250.

After seeing JCT's quote of $295, I did it myself yesterday. 45 minutes to take the old one out, 1.25 hours to put the new one in (including electronics on my new touch faucet) The faucet manufacturer had a youtube video of the install that made it very easy for me. Another 15 minutes of cleanup, repacking under the sink, etc. Glad I saved my coin for something else.

Thanks for the info, and I'll still check out JCT for a less do-it-yourself job.
