Hi, can anyone tell me how long it takes in the evening to come back to Broadlands from Falls Church and/or the best time to travel in the 5-7PM window during the week?

    Thanks, Mike

If you're taking Route 7, the drive will be slow during the 5-7pm window. If you're taking 66 to the Dulles Toll Road it's usually not too bad until you get to Waxpool. That is assuming you can get on 66 where you want to given the HOV only rules. It might be 45 minutes to an hour on Route 7. I don't drive it during rush hour but that's my estimate, for what it's worth. :)

Rt 7 is a nightmare from about the Trader Joe's in Falls Church to Reston and then sporatic out to Ashburn. Avoid at all costs!!! If I had to take it, I'd go closer to 7 than 5.

66 will be your best bet, but the HOV might be an issue.

Thanks! Kim's friend was going to try to come out during a weeknight but it sounds like it may be kind of painful...

Well, if the friend is coming for a visit maybe it's worth it! If the friend can possibly get out even by 4pm it might not be too bad. It isn't like you *can't* do it, it just will take longer.

Thanks, sounds like she is going to slug it out in traffic, trying to leave early if possible.
