    Hi :)

I have two questions. We've never recycled before but I want to now so... I wanted to know... which is the recycling day?

I know there's a water conservation schedule for watering plants... I want to wash my car -- should I follow the water conservation schedule? I would just go to the car wash but I gotta scrub my dirty dirty windshield.

Sorry if these are stupid questions, haha. I'm a college student and I'm only at home for about 3-4 months and my parents don't pay much attention to this stuff.

    Hi,

Recylables are picked up Thursdays. They accept newpapaer, flattened carboard boxes, type 1 and 2 plastics only, green brown and clear glass, aluminum cans, and white medicine bottles - not the amber ones. That's it. They Do not accept foil or pizza boxes.

With all the snow and rainfall we've had, there is no low water table this summer so you can wash your car in your driveway. I know for a fact that Sweetwater Splash recyles their wash water so if you ever want to go there, it's off Rt 28 just inside Sterling blvd. You can see it from the road. My car is always cleaner when i go there than the local ones you sit in your car while you go thru the wash.

You can recycle a lot of things here, Patriot takes tons of stuff. Check out this page for a comprehensive list (they take plastics #1-#7, with some restrictions, btw)
