Saw people in the space last night. Looked at KLNB's listing for the property this morning and saw that Rubino's is scheduled to open there. They current have locations in Herndon and in Ashbrook Commons (Homegoods/AC Moore center)

Our neighbor is one of the owners. Nice that one will be closer as we rarely go to the other Ashburn location.

Hey, I'm so excited about this news! Love Rubino's but don't get to eat there too much. This could be good and bad at the same time!!!

Not sure how anyone can say Rubino's pizza is any good. It's lame.

I agree, against that competition Rubinos isn't too bad. I used to like Manhattan's pizza but no more.

The place I really crave is Don Corleone's Wood Fired Pizza in the Cascades shopping center by Home Depot and Sports Authority. It's so authentic, with great ingredients and lots of creative pies.

Fire Works pizza in Leesburg by Tucarora Mill is very good too, but I'm rarely up there to try it. But it's excellent quality.

Other than that, not much in the immediate vicinity. I used to like Zpizza, but then the guy at Manhattan's bought out the one in Leesburg and put in another Manhattan's. And the one in the Wegman's shopping center left to be replaced by another disgusting pizza place.

Ledo's is always an option. But it's a different experience all together. It's sweeter, with flaky crust. It's not great, but it's a real nice change of pace and has an interesting taste. I used to get it a lot more, but now just once in a while.

Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of great pizza places out here.

La Cucina Italiano in Brambleton has very good pizza, I think it's as good if not a little better than Fireworks, the meat lovers is fantastic.

Have you tried Giovanni's pizza in Leesburg? I'm a bit biased because as a kid I used to ride my bike there with friends for a slice and coke so I've like them for a long time. They didn't used to have servers back then but their pizza and calzones are still my favorite all these years later.

    Thanks

    Mike

I've seen La Cucina and wondered about it. Prices seemed high for small pie, but if it's good it's worth it. I'll check them out.

I tried Giovanni's a couple of times years ago - was disappointed and never went back.

Don Corleone's in Cascades is AMAZING! Although the pepperoni and the sausage are too spicy for my little one so use caution with the kids on the meat toppings.
Giovanni's I feel is the most overrated pizza in Loudoun county. We were told glowing things about it too... tried it and both times it's been so greasy that the crust actually disintegrated on the tray.
We used to get pizza from Flatbread... lately it's been either Sal's or Broadland's Brick Oven... both are just okay.
Firework's is good... but I just can't bring myself to drive to Leesburg for Pizza. In the end... it's still pizza even if it is that good!

Don Corleone's also has some great sandwiches and salads. It's convenient too b/c I'm over at Costco, the mall or other places shopping and often drop in for the 2 slice plus soda lunch special; or slice plus salad for $7.
Agree Firework's is out of the way for me, plus it's mostly sit down, whereas Don Giovanni's is counter service and you can get in and out a little faster.
I wish Sal's was better b/c it sure is a great location. I also got turned off by the lackadaisical sons working their on the register.
