German shepherd, black, attacks other dogs, likely escaped today. Has the invisible fence collar, but no tags/contact phone number, nothing to identify the owner. Reply here if it's yours.

call animal control before that dog hurts others if no leash. Otherwise, I’ll call the animal control folks before that dog becomes a liability. Remember we have small kids around too….

The dog is caught and will spend a night locked in a courtyard, so no escape. The person holding it will call the animal control tomorrow.

Thanks. I guess it's an experience that tests character, and she did what needed to be done. Dog is freaked out but hopefully will get back to normal. They were fortunate as some very nice folks came to their help, they are also the ones holding the runaway dog for the night. I don't know if I should post this elsewhere, no answers from owners in this thread so far. Is there another Broadlands or SW forum/Facebook group/etc to post it on?

Yes, there is a face book group Broadlands Neighbors, if I recall.

Thank you for your help everybody! I was told the owners of the dog picked her up from the enclosure at some point last night, so she's back home.

I hope they apologized to you and if they didn’t…I wouldn’t be nice the next time around…I’d call the animal control folks next time and let them deal with the dog and potential repercussions with having a dog with no leash. Thank God no kids or adults were bitten!!!

Nope, and I don't even know who they are. The dog was picked up at night from the fenced backyard when the people holding it were asleep. They must have stopped by that house afterwards, but that's it. It's the second time I/we faced unleashed dogs that are aggressive and we've been here since 2007, so these things happen here occasionally.
