thanks for the information. doesnt really affect us in SW/Broadlands but the neighbors to the south of us have that noise.

 

Yep. When you build houses near the runways of major international airports you have airplane noise.

 

When we moved her 25 years ago it wasn't this bad. It's gotten way worse.

 

I’ve been here in Broadlands 28 years. Seems the same to me.

We are lucky that Broadlands is in the wedge between the two runways and far way the flights altitude is high enough we dont get much flight noise. I am on Ridgeway, I only see occasional flights taking off from run runway 30 making a right turn. That about one flight a week. Noise should be a bigger concern to folks in Brambleton and Loudoun Valley Estates as they are much closer to the runways

 

I trust my eyes and ears more than statistics.
For example “5.8% increase in passengers” tells you absolutely nothing about the number of RWY 30 departures.
