Does anyone have any ideas why the stretch of Ryan Rd. from the 4 way stop at Waxpool to Ashburn Farm Parkway by the Bloom appears to be so minimally plowed during these large storms? In December it was in the same horrible condition. This week it is like an ice rink and looks as if only one plow pass went through after a couple of days when it was already packed down. I would think this is one of the more major secondary roads in the area.

Also, as an FYI anyone going on Waxpool towards 28 you may want to consider an alternate route. I went by there twice today at 9 AM and 10:30 AM and both times it was backed up from 28 all the way past the Ice Rink towards Ryan Rd.. I assume a lane is lost at some point as the conditions of the road weren't too bad.

I was coming home from work at 6:30 this morning, heading west on Waxpool. There was a car on the eastbound side that had spun out and ended up in the median. This was near Broderick/Pacific. There was one police, another emergency vehicle, a towing truck, and a fire engine on the way. Might have been more than one car involved, but could only see the one in the median.

Well, I guess I am glad that I decided to avoid that stretch of Ryan Rd/Ashburn Village yesterday. I don't know why it is so bad, either. Last time around, my 3 yo wanted to know why I wasn't answering her questions while driving down the "bumpy road."

Waxpool was missing one lane in each direction around Pacific (EB) and Broderick (WB)(as of Tuesday). It's gonna be a cluster if they don't fix it before people decide to go back to work!

I think it's that the plows only made one pass through.
