Need Advice Sitter referrals and rates

I no longer have an au pair so I am looking to hire some afternoon babysitters/mother's helpers so I can work for a few hours or get out food shopping or to a yoga class. If you know anyone looking for this type of work please let me know. I would definitely consider someone that does nanny work or an au pair looking for extra hours, someone that can maybe help tidy the kids rooms and assist putting away their mountain of never ending laundry. ;-)

In addition to referrals, it's been a couple years since I've relied on sitters, so can you share with me what the general going rates are for young mother's helpers, high school sitters and college age sitters.
