Why do the plows push snow to one side of the street? I always get a pile twice as high in my driveway while across the street my neighbors driveway gets perfectly cleared.

It has been like this for years and I am getting tired of clearing my driveway just to have it blocked off again while everyone on the other side of the street gets a perfectly cleared approach.

Exact same thing on my street! Not only does the plow always dump a mound of snow and ice from the street in front of my driveway it completely clears it on the other side of the street. This is especially maddening as the sidewalks are on the same side of the street as where the plows dump the snow every year. So my side of the street gets to clear the sidewalks AND the extra snow dumped into our driveways by the plows while the other side (with no sidewalks to clear) has the snow completely removed from their driveways after every storm.
