If you live in Phase 4 and ONLY on the following streets (Ridgeway Drive--please see below), you can now call Verizon at 1800-501-1172 to schedule. Anyone else try to call to order the internet yet? I tried this morning and after listening to hold music for over 15 minutes I had to hang up. There has to be a better way, if we are being forced to pay for it, than to waste an hour of my life on hold.

Any explanation as to why the delay for those of us up the hill who still don’t have FiOS access? I’ve seen no trucks out and about or crews working on anything. Is there still a problem at the switch at the intersection of Ridgeway and Highview Trail/Ayr? What gives, in other words?

I hope it is not because curious people are calling to find out when their street will be ready. Did you call the 1-800-501-1172 phone number or the general public number?

Looks like tunneling and channeling is complete there, the street is patched. There is probably speed testing still going on. I think the streets that were made available were worked on ahead of the other parts of Phase 4.

Yes I called the 1-800-501-1172 number that has been posted everywhere for ordering. Then hit "1" for new service. Finally got through today after on hold for only 4 minutes. Fortunately the woman was helpful and scheduled install for next week.

Looks like they were working again today at the intersection of Highview Trail/Ayr/Ridgeway—-so clearly either a problem with the switch or continued testing is happening for those of us with no FiOS service.

They might have just been fixing the asphalt patches in the road. The previous patches were petty rough and not great workmanship.

Is there a standard configuration we need to request when ordering (like having a router inline from the ONT to any house switching or mesh?

I had the install verified this am, and it was slow to start. Since noon it degraded and niwnno internet. Verizon tech support mentioned the installer should have used a router as part of the HOA contract, but there were no specific details in that regard. Anyone else run into this issue?

Verizon removed the the majority of the Open Band equipment and router and installed a new wireless router when they did mine.

Thx JJB. I did not get a router nor did the Verizon tech seem to understand what the standard HOA implementation was. I've been out of commission since Friday and am working to get a router from Verizon - hopefully this week.

    This is tough :/

Steve - I would reach out to our SWHOA as well. I think they will see this but this sounds like it should be reported to Management and escalated. Hard to believe you were left in this situation.
