It's a beautiful day, and spring is in reach, and it's nice to see kids walking around after school instead of cooped up inside with their tech toys and video games. I'm sure they're craving some sunshine and fresh air just like the rest of us. Just a note to remind your kids who are wandering the neighborhood about the rules of respect for property, etc. Had a handful of older elementary school kids sauntering back behind the fences on Hawksbury Terrace behind the Southern Walk townhouses and one boy bashed one of my bird feeders with a large stick (not much was safe in his path, ha), one was jiggling the back latch on our gate, and one of the girls was flinging large sticks over fences into the yards. I'm just glad there wasn't a pet or small child in any of the yards. I walked out onto my deck and and asked the girls not to throw the sticks. I think I scared the bajeezus out of all of them as they weren't aware they were being observed from above. So off they went.

Just a reminder, as this is how property destruction often starts. Not asking you to restrict them to the house! Just teach'em while they're young!
