The Senior Logistics Manager will lead the logistics team (consisting of 3 salaried employees) to ensure operational excellence through all phases of material procurement, storage, movement, and disposition.



· Responsible for all aspects of procurement, receipt, and warehousing of equipment

· Develop automated warehouse processes

· Responsible for planning, packing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of shipments to include communications with destination offices

· Responsible for coordinating, receiving, and disposal or other disposition of equipment returned from the field

· Responsible for accountability of customer furnished equipment to include disposal or other disposition of equipment no longer needed

· Meet customer schedules effectively through advanced planning with the ability to expedite shipments as required to meet deadlines; meet with project managers/team leads to drive logistics planning

· Identify and clearly articulate risks, challenges, and options associated with the logistics efforts needed to support the mission

· Drive productivity and cost savings through all phases of all logistics processes

· Monitor procurement and shipping costs to ensure sufficient funding is available

· Utilize Metrics and Scorecard to drive process and service delivery improvements

· Ensure Compliance with SAIC & customer Policies and Initiatives


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
**** CANDIDATE MUST ALREADY POSSESS AN ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE WITH FULL SCOPE POLYGRAPH. CANDIDATES WITHOUT THIS LEVEL OF CLEARANCE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. *****

· Must have a Bachelor’s degree plus minimum 5 years logistics industry experience or high school diploma/GED plus minimum 10 years Logistics industry experience

· Strong computer skills, including MS Excel, MS Access and MS Word

· Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines

· Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects
