We had my son's 3 yr. bday party at the fire hall. We brought a bunch of ride-on toys because the space is huge. Also a friend brought her ball pit/tent thing. I printed coloring pages of fire trucks for free off the internet and set up a coloring station. These activities kept the kids busy while the party began, then we ate. Then one of the volunteer firefighters came and gave the kids a fire safety talk (brief) and a tour of the trucks and equipment. She did a great job, made my son feel very special as the b-day boy, by letting him "drive" first and try on hat and coat.
After that we did a pinata and the volunteer passed out firefighter hats and other goodies. We had the cake, then passed out the goodie bags. Done. In between the kids kept using the ride on toys, ball pit and coloring station. No one was bored.
We got the food from the BBQ next door (Partlow Brothers) and it was yummy.
