    SAIC currently has an opening for a Systems Administrator.

    **This position requires a current TS/SCI with lifestyle polygraph clearance, unfortunately, there are no exceptions.**

    JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs a variety of technical and administrative assignments associated with monitoring and maintaining operational status of a large number of client-server systems. Documents processes and procedures. Performs daily tasks to ensure viability of systems, analyzes system problems, troubleshoots, and responds to adhoc trouble inquiries from field users.

    Performs preventive maintenance and system patching. Works with other stakeholders to develop new systems and procedures to further the customer's mission. Interfaces with the customer and other teammates on a daily basis.

    Job Requirements include:
    • BS in related technical discipline preferred
    • 4-6 years experience with implementing, configuring, launching, and troubleshooting customized software in an internet environment
    • Experience with Web Technologies (HTML, PHP, Flash, Tomcat, Apache, javascript)
    • Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows XP/2000 as an administrator
    • Working experience in VMWare Infrastructure/VSphere
    • Application Troubleshooting/Debugging
    • Remedy application experience
    • Network and computer security experience
    • Experience with the implementation and/or administration of LANs
    • Familiarity with data communications concepts, standard software applications and electronic mail necessary
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as a team member
    • Demonstrated ability to reprioritize resources to quickly meet the changing operational environment.
