Systems Engineer in Northern Virginia

JOB DESCRIPTION: The ideal candidate will provide Systems Engineering and Configuration Management support to complex systems and processes within the customer’s organization. Duties will include participating in various project and engineering review boards and working groups, providing configuration management support, requirement validation, review of engineering designs, analysis of processes and workflows, and some system administration activities. 5-10% travel (CONUS) may be required.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• 9+ years experience in systems and/or network engineering
• Must possess excellent communications skills (written and oral) and be comfortable working in an environment with customers and other industry partners
• Experience streamlining and integrating new processes, systems, and change management within IT organizations
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies to include familiarity with Cisco and Juniper products (switches, routers, security appliances, etc.)
• Knowledge of Information Security (InfoSec) principles
• Proficiency with MS Office, Access, and Visio

DESIRED SKILLS
• ITIL Certification
• Familiarity with Oracle databases and structures

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other technical discipline
