To all the people in SW like Avonworth SQ who put your trash out knowing the high winds were going to be today. GO PICK UP YOUR TRASH that you just left on the street not secure. It is all over the common grounds and behind other people's yards.

Sorry for posting, but I'm so tired of the trash all over the streets.

Agree. When people don't bag their trash and put it directly into the trash bin, away it goes on a windy day. It is so much better lately with the new covered recycling bins, though. The bigger, covered bins lessens the amount of paper and cardboard flying around on a windy day. Still, some people still use the small open recycling bin, which on windy days are sometimes empty by the time the recycling truck comes. Speaking of which, a small recycling bin is blowing down the street now.

What makes it worse, is the people who haven't secured their trash are usually not the ones to clean it up.

Maybe we are lucky, but on our street Patriot Trash picked up nearly every single box, bag etc that had blown away from their respective trash/recycle bins.

FWIW, this isn't the first time I've watched Patriot go way above and beyond their job.

I did not witness the same with Patriot on my block, but I can't blame them since they had their job to do, too. Maybe people will pick up their trash when they pick up their bins that blew away and are still in the street or common area this morning.
