We are planning on flying out of National later this summer. We usually fly in and out of Dulles. Any thoughts or tips about getting to and from National. Should we just drive and park? supershuttle? cab? and any suggestions for cabs and taxis? Thanks

Another option that we use to take the train out of Union Station is to rent a car locally (Hertz rents out of the VW dealership on 28 off Shaw, near Belfort) and turn it in at the train station. We do the same in reverse. It's cheaper than a taxi, car service or parking. Look around for a good deal. We get a USAA rate and my husband is a Hertz Gold Member. Check other rental cars agencies too.

Metro would solve this, if only we had this. All kidding aside, how many of you are traveling, the blue super shuttle can take you and they a affordable if you have 3 or more. Check it out.

I recently used limos4less.com to bring some people from DCA to the Ashburn area for an event. Rates were comparable or even a bit less than the blue van, for car service (up to 3-4 pax) compared with a shared van service.
