I've noticed that every second Friday morning all my Verizon settop boxes shut down in the wee hours of the morning. I have my TiVo set to record shows on Friday and this shut down interferes with that. Has anyone else noticed this pattern or is it just my household? Any idea why the boxes shut down every two weeks?

    Thanks!

Maybe a firmware update? Check the firmware level/version a few days before you 'expect' the shutdown and see if it's different afterwards.

Maybe it's a 'preventative' measure, sort of like how some companies reboot their Windows servers once a month to avoid issues down the line...

Yeah, we have FiOS and our SD box in the kitchen shuts down at least once every month (I have not thought about checking days - I'll have to do that). We have a Series 2 tivo on it for the kids cartoons, and all it records is 'Press menu to watch TV'. Very annoying.
