    Provide video engineering and general communications support to a critical operations project. Primary duties include: design, test, implement, deploy, and document video systems. Assist in resolving video and related communications disruptions that can occur at any time. Familiarity with systems such as the Broadcast System, television broadcast distribution systems, closed circuit television systems (CCTV), cameras and sensor systems, fiber optics, and multi-cast transport protocols strongly preferred. Responsible for coordination of video and video related communications connectivity between home office and field deployed locations. Must be able to travel 5 – 10% to various domestic and overseas locations – some which are designated as hazardous duty. The ability to work closely and effectively with contemporaries from other contractor companies is essential.

    Required Skills:
    Knowledge of video signal distribution encoding and decoding equipment. Trouble shooting of video and video related equipment and networks. Candidate must have strong written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to develop strong working relationships with personnel at all levels and be willing to seek out the communications needs of the customer.

    Desired Skills:

    Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance. Knowledge of customer operations environment. Experience with analog and digital and video equipment and troubleshooting video signal outages. Familiarity with analog and digital video signals, broadcast video equipment, and applications such as MPEG-2 transport systems utilizing MPEG-4/AVC/H.264 encoding is a plus. Familiarity with the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) standards and the Motion Imagery Standards Profile (MISP) is a plus. Past employment with customer in a video research and development position is very beneficial.

    Education:
    BA/BS or EE in related field and/or at least 8 years experience.
