    Hi,

I looked at the earlier post, so I already knew I had to shop this to the HOA board. We have an area in the back yard near our fence (Right Corner)that is high enough that everything we put there dies. We've recently had to cut down to the stump a tree we had our landscaper mover from the front side of the grarage to this area. The decorative grass on this side is half the size as the one on the opposite, etc.

We would have to dig out some of the dirt to make this corner level enough to place a shed on. The back is shielded by the neighbor's maple tree and planting beds. I need to know if anyone was successful finding someone to build a shed at a decent price that works with the house. We cannot attach it to the back as we already have major landscaping to the left side of the stairs down , then a screened porch and deck on the other side. We're in a Sincliar II - 3 years on 9/22 (built before the builder finally built the model to walk through and hatcheted off 8 inches from the whole house).

We were informed by a much better landscaper that our beds would need to be 6-8 inches higher to combat the run off we get twice a day from the neighbors sprinkler system (house sits higher up than us) Which has already drowned the spruce we originally had in the left corner(dug up it had 3 inches of water sittting underneath it... you can visually see the trails of water runoff in the back bed). When a new evergreen was placed there, it was set up higher and has survived, so I know this guy is right. Geeze what a lot of back breaking work that'll be!

Building the shed is normally not the issue, the issue is size and location.

Before you build, you should review the Modification Subcommittee guidelines on Sheds located here: http://www.broadlandshoa.org/info/designguides/guidelines/Storage_Sheds.pdf.

If I remember right, the max height is 8 ft, and total square footage cannot be more than 80 ft, which limits you to a 8' x 10' footprint.

I would talk to a shed builder, and before you build get approval for the location.
