will Southern Walk be upgraded to the new fios wifi6 router?

It looks like Verizon fios is now providing a new wifi 6 router with fios service.

Will we get the upgraded router to replace the old ones we have?

What needs to be done to get upgraded?

I doubt they will with a current contract in place and it probably would cost Verizon a lot to swap everything out. I wouldn’t hold my breath on that. It would depend upon what’s in the contract the HOA has with them.

 

I have no idea what's in the contract and I believe it is hard to see the contract. I would like to believe there is some sort of tech upgrade clause. In any event, it would be nice to know.

I found this, it says the new router costs $15 to rent, I think the routers we have are $10 to rent. Wifi extenders are $10 to rent.

a month ago i called our special SW # and asked about the new home router. they said no problem and shipped it- it was here in two days. i went to UPS in Broadlands next to Marco's and shipped back the quantum router. there is no extra rent for the home router versus the quantum router. performance is a bit better, especially with wifi 6 very close to it.

 

A little off topic - but does anyone know when the 2 year contract between Southern Walk & Verizon ends? Thanks.
