It's been awhile since the last major update. Things were pretty quiet once CWCs rollout unfortunately failed. Although we had some setbacks, the Web Committee has been very busy in the search for better broadband for the Broadlands North. We have met with several providers and are working on two very solid wireless solutions. The first will cater to the home user that wants something more than Adelphia, such as static ip addresses, faster uploads, much lower latency, ability to run home servers among other items at a low cost. The second will cater to the extreme user. Those looking for 1-2MB/sec both up and down with service-level guarantees for a cost way lower than what wired T1s go for.

With that said, currently we have nothing set in stone. We’re still working hard on the details and cannot yet provide information on what everyone of course wants to first know, namely: ‘How much will it be and when will it be available’. As soon as we have something working, it will be shared here.

Anyhow, thanks for the patience everyone. Hopefully the wait will not be too much longer!

John, Eric, and the rest of the web committee working on the Broadband project.
