A major change in the traffic pattern for Gum Spring Road between Evergreen Mill Road and Route 50 is expected to occur on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. (click map for larger view)
The existing section of Gum Spring Road adjacent to the Stone Spring Emergency Center and the Stone Spring hospital (currently under construction) will close to through traffic immediately beyond the entrance to the emergency center. All traffic will use a new section of Stone Springs Boulevard on the north side of Route 50.
Also, southbound traffic on Gum Spring Road will be transitioned to the new road section which extends to Route 50 across from Stone Springs Boulevard. Detour signs and message boards will be in place to advise motorists of this change.
