Holiday Events Happening Today! Visit with Santa and Deadline to Enter Holiday Home Decorating Contest

?????????????????????????????????????Santa’s Coming to Broadlands this Evening!
Join us for Broadlands annual Visit with Santa today, December 5 from 5:30pm – 8:30pm at the new Broadlands Clubhouse, 43360 Rickenbacker Square (Located on the right side of Waxpool Road driving east just after you head over the Greenway). Light refreshments will be provided and live music performances by Eagle Ridge & Briar Woods students. We will have a TOYS FOR TOTS box to collect new unwrapped toy donations. Decorate your home to be the brightest in Broadlands! The deadline to enter is today, December 5. Judging will take place during the evenings the week of December 8. Winning entries will be listed in the newsletter and on our website.

 

Judging will be based on the following criteria:

–Creativity (originality, unique design and creative use of lights and decorations)
–Arrangement (display and placement of decorations)
–Special Effects (sound effects, fog, animation, etc.)
–Overall Appearance (color coordination, balance, and overall attractiveness)

Contest Rules

Contest is limited to what can be seen from the street side of the house at night. People or live animals are not allowed as part of the display. Participants are requested to keep their houses decorated through January 1st so that the community may view and enjoy them. Judging will take place the week of December 8th from dusk until 9:00pm. Please have your decorations turned on by 5:00pm. Winners will be notified on Wednesday, December 17th. Judges’ decisions are final.

When: Sunday November 16, 2:00pm-5:00pm
Where: Clubhouse at 43360 Rickenbacker Square
What: Learn to pair the perfect wine with holiday foods & sample wines and hors d’ oeuvres prepared by Jason Bursey, Sommelier and Owner of Parallel Wine Bistro.This event is limited to 50 attendees so reserve your spot now! This event is for residents 21 years and over. No refunds.
Cost: $10.00 per person

Volunteers Needed For Halloween Events This Weekend!

The HOA is proud to provide these events free of charge to our residents. However, in order for these events to run smoothly and be brought back each year, we need help from the residents in our neighborhood!
