Claiborne Tennis Courts Renovations Begin Monday, September 15th
Beginning Monday, September 15th, the Claiborne Tennis Courts across from the HOA Administrative Office building will be closed and undergoing an extensive court renovation and resurfacing project. Renovations are expected to be completed within 6–8 weeks.
During this time, temporary booking policies will be in effect. These updates are reflected in CourtReserve. We ask for your cooperation in adhering to the revised guidelines once construction begins:
- Please note that the path along the courts will be closed during this period. The path next to the parking lot may be closed at times while work is ongoing, but it will be open when it is safe to use. Please consider using alternative routes, such as other sidewalks that lead to the school, or driving your children.
 - All tennis lessons and programs will be relocated to the Broadlands Station Tennis Court.
 - Court bookings are first-come, first-served, and each individual and family account is limited to 5 bookings per week.
 - Programs requiring multiple courts (tennis or pickleball) will have priority at the Stone House courts. If a member’s reservation conflicts, they will be notified 24–36 hours in advance to reschedule.
 - Residents may book courts up to 7 days in advance.

A CourtReserve e-mail has been sent with more detailed information and scheduling policies. For questions, please reach out to Alex Angiolillo, Director of Tennis & Pickleball, aangiolillo@bluechiptennis.net or broadlands@bluechiptennis.net, (202) 792-2860.
Managing Invasive Species In Broadlands: Tree Of Heaven & Bermuda Grass
The HOA is actively working to protect our natural areas by treating two highly invasive species: Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima) and Bermuda Grass (Cynodon dactylon). These species pose serious threats to native ecosystems, infrastructure, and even agriculture. Residents may observe areas where trees and grass are wilting and turning yellow or brown—this is a normal part of the treatment process.
